Grant Wood Arts Colony
Iowa may be a small state, but its been home to timeless and legendary artists, like Grant Wood.
While Grant Wood is best known for the iconic painting, American Gothic, he is also famous for being a key figure of the American Regionalism movement, and was a highly respected painter of rural American themes and a longtime Iowa City resident. Jim Hayes’ 1975 purchase of Wood's historic Iowa City home prompted a recurring symposium of art, hosting fellows and graduate students at the University of Iowa to tap into inspiration and performance in honor of Grant Wood. In a Content Marketing class, my peers and I took on this project to appeal to prospective graduate students, and to help amplify the vision.

Sail Caribbean Summer Camp
Sail Caribbean, named a ‘High End Summer Camp’ by Town & Country magazine, is a well-regarded sailing camp in the British Virgin Islands. During the summer of 2023, I was not only a First Mate, but also the summer Social Media Coordinator. This means that I got to experience the best of both worlds: being a camp counselor while also creating content in one of the sailing capitals of the world! This past summer, I came back for my second season—this time as a Captain! Find a link to the blogs I published during both of my summers here.here.
2024
As the Lead Photographer for the University of Iowa’s first undergraduate arts and culture magazine, Zealous, I got to work with other creatives to brainstorm the perfect theme for Zealous’ first issue. As a team, we brainstormed themes that have gained traction on social media and IRL. Check out a couple spreads from Issue 1: Nostalgia, which went into print and digital fall of 2024!
